Founded in 1971 by the visionary Sh. Darshan Lal Sehdev, Leaders Machine Tools has grown from a humble beginning into one of India’s most respected machine tool manufacturers. Our roots lie deep in Batala, Punjab, a city known for engineering excellence. What began as a casting unit for gunmetal components has evolved into a full-fledged manufacturing company delivering lathe machines, milling machines, VTLs, and custom workshop solutions.

In recognition of his dedication to Indian industry, Sh. Darshan Lal Sehdev was honored with the Udyog Patra Award by the Institute of Trade and Industrial Development, New Delhi. This prestigious award was presented by Sh. M. Hidayatullah, then Vice President of India, on 20th December 1980, at FICCI Auditorium, New Delhi.

A Legacy Continued by the Next Generation

Today, the legacy continues under the leadership of his grandson, Mr. Deepak Sahdev, who serves as the Director of Leaders Machine Tools. With a strong foundation and a forward-looking approach, Mr. Sahdev has modernized operations, embraced cutting-edge technologies, and expanded the company’s global reach — all while upholding the principles of quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction.
